Seda Ciftci Ciftci-Sevil, PsyD

Dr. Seda Ciftci-Sevil is a staff psychologist in the outpatient department of Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian and an Instructor in Clinical Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Ciftci-Sevil received her B.A. from the University of Miami with a major in psychology. She received an M.A. in psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. During her clinical training, she has held a variety of clinical positions at different mental health, hospital, and university settings in the New York City and Miami areas, as well as worked as a clinical psychologist at a mental health clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. She completed her clinical internship at Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Ciftci-Sevil has extensive experience in treating children, adolescents, adults, and families, with an emphasis on treatment of anxiety and mood disorders with CBT. She has further expertise in behavioral issues, management of ADHD symptoms in school settings, and treatment of social anxiety disorder within individual and group therapy modalities. She is trained in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy, although her treatment approach is an integrative one. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations and tailors treatments to meet the specific needs of individuals and families. She is fluent in Spanish and Turkish and can provide treatment in these languages.
