The Clinic is readily accessible from New Jersey (via the George Washington Bridge), from Connecticut and Northern New York, and from Long Island.

  • Car: 1051 Riverside Drive (Room 3200), New York City, New York, 10032
  • Mass Transit: 40 Haven Avenue, New York, NY 10032

Train or Subway or Bus:

  1. Take the A/C or 1 subway line to 168th Street & Broadway. If you come to 125th on Metro North, you can then take the 125th street crosstown bus west to the A or C and then proceed with A or C uptown to 168th. Or take the M2, M3, M4, M5, or M100 bus to 168th Street. (Trains into either Penn Station or Grand Central Terminal will allow you to connect to the subway.)
  2. Walk on 168th Street going west. You will pass the ambulance dock of the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
  3. Walk one block to the cross street Fort Washington Avenue. Here 168th Street turns into Haven Avenue. Cross Fort Washington Avenue.
  4. Continue down Haven Avenue to 40 Haven Avenue (about ½ block after crossing Fort Washington Avenue)
  5. Enter at 40 Haven Avenue. The security desk will give you a visitor's pass and direct you to the New Building.
  6. Walk past the small café area after you have gone through security. To the left you will find the indoor sky bridge. Cross the sky bridge.
  7. At end of sky bridge you will be on the 6th floor of the New Building. Take one of the elevators down to the Third Floor.
  8. Exit elevator and walk straight ahead – the first Clinic with glass window on the left will be Clinic 3200.

From New Jersey

If coming east across the George Washington Bridge, please take the first exit, which should be the West Side Highway (or Henry Hudson Parkway South), which will direct you south. Then take the first exit (Riverside Drive) and go south (take a right onto R.D.). You will pass the Riverside Drive entrance to the NYSPI on your right. Patients can be dropped off there. For parking, take your first left onto 165th Street and then your first right onto Fort Washington Avenue. The parking garage is there at 165th and Fort Washington Avenue. To get to the NYSPI entrance, either retrace your route or walk up Fort Washington Avenue to 168th Street, take a left onto 168th Street, walk directly ahead and the road curves to the right. Shortly after the curve, you will see a red brick building on your left, which is the NYSPI Kolb Annex. The passage to the overpass to the main building starts from the entrance to the Annex.

From Westchester/Rockland Counties or CT

Take either Route 87 or the Hutchinson River Parkway south to the Cross County Parkway West. Go south on the Saw Mill River Parkway, which connects to the Henry Hudson Parkway (HHP), which then crosses the HHP bridge into Manhattan. Exit at Riverside Drive (shortly after you pass under the George Washington Bridge) and follow the directions above.
