Overview

Jenna L. Zucchi, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and assistant professor within the department of Pediatric Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Zucchi currently works in the Special Needs Clinic where she focuses on working with children and families impacted by chronic medical illness. At the Special Needs Clinic, Dr. Zucchi conducts evaluations, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, program development, and research. Dr. Zucchi also has a private practice in New York City.

Dr. Zucchi specializes in the evaluation and treatment of mood, anxiety and behavioral disorders in children, adolescents and young adults emphasizing a family-based, collaborative approach. Specifically, she provides intervention in evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Management Training, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A). Dr. Zucchi also facilitates a DBT Skills group and co-developed the Courageous Kids Program which provides CBT group therapy for anxious youth.

In addition to providing evaluation and intervention, Dr. Zucchi is passionate about program evaluation and development by combining her clinical and research interests to promote adaption and dissemination of evidence based practices in new populations. Dr. Zucchi is also committed to the training of new clinicians and supervises and teaches doctoral-level clinical psychology trainees in evidence-based treatments.
