Overview
Jeffrey Cohen (he/him) is a clinical psychologist who provides compassionate, research-supported psychotherapy to youth and adults. He specializes in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Dr. Cohen’s approach is collaborative, solution-oriented, and tailored to meet individual treatment goals.
Dr. Cohen is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at Columbia University. He has directed courses on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the psychiatry residency training program and also teaches the Abnormal Behavior lecture and a seminar on mindfulness to undergraduate psychology students. Dr. Cohen has been interviewed by numerous media outlets and is passionate about using technology to increase access to effective mental health treatment.
Dr. Cohen graduated from the doctoral program run jointly by Stanford University School of Medicine and Palo Alto University and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center in affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco.
