Dr. Jaryd Frankel is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and clinical instructor practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his DO in medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and fellowship in child/adolescent psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Frankel is active in / member of his regional chapter of the New York council for child and adolescent psychiatry. His professional interests focus on psychiatric illness in medically ill children and has worked extensively with LGBTQ youth and young adults. He is board-certified in psychiatry. He has presented his work at national conferences, has written chapters in a textbook and has had journal publications addressing ways to support marginalized youth.
