Overview
Chireau “Ro” White is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in the field of mental health for over 8 years. She obtained her master’s degree at Columbia University School of Social Work in Advanced Generalist Practice & Programming. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Adelphi University. She has worked in private practice, hospital, and mobile treatment settings. She uses strength based, anti-oppressive, and liberation approaches in conjunction with cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving therapy. “I hope to help adults better understand themselves, their relationship to their environment, and collaboratively find ways to heal and move forward.” Her areas of clinical practice and research interest include Black mental health, LGBTQ2S+ mental health, intersectionality, sexuality, couple’s therapy and employee burnout.
