Aida Musabegovich, PhD
Overview
I am a foreign trained psychologist with accreditation/ license by The University of the State of New York (License in Psychology). I am also a clinical hypnotherapist, trained at Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Northern California. I have extensive clinical, research, teaching, and supervisory experience. I am proficient in clinical interviews, both with children and adults, and am capable of sensitive assessments and effective treatment, being reliable, efficient, and relaxed professional. I have the capacity to engage diverse populations, including developmentally disordered and high-risk children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout the years of clinical practice with specialization in affective disorders and behavioral problems, I have developed a special clinical interest in care for pediatric patients with an array of medical conditions/chronic illnesses. Interventions used are appropriate in facilitating psychosocial adaptation to chronic conditions, managing pain and symptoms, enhancing compliance with prescribed treatments. I am also implementing applications in providing non-organic treatments, including brief psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques for pediatric and adolescent problems, with the special interest in the application of Cognitive Hypnotherapy which combines application of cognitive therapy and hypnotherapy into a unified approach to psychotherapy.
