An actively practicing psychoanalyst, I have a major interest in expanding and improving clinical analytic effectiveness and technique for a broad range of emotional issues. I attend to and make use of patients' ongoing experience of me and the therapeutic relationship to engage with emotional and relational problems as they are felt in their immediacy. I believe that this real-time experience promotes lasting beneficial change in a variety of ways, including symptom relief, and helps patients develop a sense of effective agency and well-being.
