Chiaying Wei, PhD
Overview
My work centers on the integration of clinical, developmental, and dissemination and implementation (DI) science to improve the prevention and treatment of maternal and youth anxiety and mood disorders in low resource settings, and to decrease mental health disparities. Specifically, the areas of my work include: (1) the developmental course of anxiety and depression, including the intergenerational transmission of psychiatric disorders, (2) the role of familial and socio-cultural factors in the development, maintenance, and treatment of anxiety and depression, and (3) the integration of knowledge from (1) and (2) in DI science to promote evidence-based treatments (EBTs) for underserved populations.
