Dr. Frances Levin Talks About the Importance of National Prevention Week
This year’s SAMHSA National Prevention Week (NPW) is May 13-19, 2018. NPW is an annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental and/or substance use disorders. The theme for NPW 2018 is: Action Today. Healthier Tomorrow.
We spoke with Dr. Frances Levin, Kennedy-Leavy Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Substance Use Disorders at CUIMC, about the importance of National Prevention Week and the critical nature of early detection.
