Five Discrete Types of Treatment Settings

Inpatient Detoxification and Evaluation

These services are provided by an expert team of senior physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals on an upscale, unlocked unit, with private rooms and hotel-like comforts located in the McKeen Pavilion. more info >>

Acute Dual Disorder Inpatient Treatment

Services for individuals with addiction and mental health problems requiring intensive inpatient treatment are provided under close supervision by a senior team of professionals with combined expertise in the treatment of mental health and addiction. more info >>

Intensive Group Therapy Day Treatment for Individuals with Both Addiction and Mental Health Problems

We offer supportive therapeutic milieu with state-of-the-art mental health and addiction treatment in a discreet, elegant, private setting on the Upper East Side. It serves previously or potentially high-functioning individuals. more info >>

Evening Treatment for Alcohol and/or Drug Problems

Evening treatment is available several evenings a week at our Upper East Side facility. The program offers a flexible cognitive behavioral treatment approach, accommodates individuals seeking brief or extended outpatient care, and complements 12-Step self-help programs. more info >>

Outpatient Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Detoxification or Maintenance

This program manages patients with addiction to prescription opiates or heroin, including those with chronic pain problems.  The program also includes Depot Naltrexone (Vivitrol), the one-month blocker used to treat alcoholism or opiate addiction. more info >>

Inpatient Services

Financial Information

We participate with most insurance plans, which cover the basic bed and professional fees for the General Psychiatry and Dual Diagnosis programs. Additional fees, not covered by insurance, apply to the Comprehensive Evaluation Program and the Detoxification Program on the McKeen Pavilion. Financial counselors are available to discuss these charges in detail prior to admission.

Outpatient Services

Financial Information

Chickering Insurance, a Columbia University-based HMO is accepted as payment for therapy services. Otherwise, fees for group psychotherapy are covered privately by the patient. Some HMO's provide partial reimbursement for day hospitalization and it is recommended that the patient check with the insurance company to learn criteria for reimbursement.
